The Plight of the Tiger & What We Can Do To Help
Tigers are beautiful, wonderful animals. However, they are in trouble and are in grave danger of becoming extinct; very, very soon. With just 3,900 wild tigers left in the world, tigers are on the verge of extinction and it’s all thanks to humans. Habitat loss, poaching and traditional Chinese medicine are all threats to tigers, alongside others. We created this problem, we need to solve it. Not only are tigers beautiful and amazing, they are also vital to a healthy ecosystem - and without a healthy ecosystem, the whole environmental system collapses. Tigers need our help and they need it now.
You can help, there are so many ways you can help. Start by buying tiger friendly wood - look for the FSC logo on any wood-based products. You can donate to tiger conservation organisations such as the World Wildlife Fund, Panthera or Save Tigers Now. You can raise money in creative ways, raise awareness by telling people you know about the plight of tigers. You could virtually adopt a tiger through tiger conservation programmes and organisations. There are so many things we can do to help. And we need to help.
